Area H Alternative School
Anyone else remember the Area H Alternative School in the '70s? Kristi Smart does,
and she writes to me, "What a way to get educated. It had quite an impact
on my life." I agree; it evokes very heavily nostalgic memories
for me.
- Speaking of evocative, fellow alum Kristi designs fanciful romantic
fantasy coats, and if you're in the market, you should take a look.
- Alum Robert Oblon has begun his own labor of love to our alma
mater, areah.com. If you're
an alum looking to connect with others, you need to see his site.
Robert is also a fellow propellerhead with his own Web consultancy
firm, Oblon Internet Solutions,
Inc.
- Rick Moreno and Patrick Quinn initiated a thriving
messageboard for alums. In a short period of time, it's become a
very vibrant community. What, you're surprised?
- In late February 2002, my brother Gabe and I met up with Ross
Plesset for the first time in 22 years. If you're lucky, you get at
least one good friend like Ross in your lifetime. I'm grateful that
we're re-connected!
I took the following at the school in
a visit in 1992 (?). By then its name had changed to
"Arroyo Seco Alternative Magnet School". As long as kids are
still playing hide
& seek there, they can call it whatever they want...
